As New York’s Reigning king of the skyscraper, the Empire State Building continues to dominate the skyline and give midtown its unique look. Located a stones throw from Harold Square, the Empire State Building was completed in 1931 and stood as the worlds tallest building until the completion of the north tower of the world trade center in 1972. It not only houses offices but has an observation deck on the top floors that offers one of the best views of the surrounding cityscape. Who knows, maybe King Kong is still up there?
